This year's 11th Annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase was another exciting event, filled with the majority of the state's best basketball talent.

This year's annual event, once again, included many of the state's best girl's basketball talent as well.

With girl's action taking place each day on center court, in between two boy's games on the opposing courts, the action was at a high level and very appeasing to the participants and fans in attendance. The girl's introduction back into this year's event kicked off our girl's coverage for Arizonapreps.com, and has our staff very excited about the up and coming high school basketball season.

While the girls all played very hard and competed at a high level in this year's event, St. Mary's High School's 6-foot-2 senior post Hailee Rhymes took home this year's Most Valuable Player award.

Rhymes, a versatile post player, caught the attention of our Arizona Preps' staff with her unlimited potential as a prospect, as a result of her nice length and good athleticism. Her work ethic and ability to run the floor was also impressive.

Ryhmes' teammate, St. Mary's HS 5-foot-11 sophomore Shilpa Tummala, was this year's runner-up for the honor. Only a sophomore, Tummala has a very bright future ahead of her, as she is a tough and athletic forward that plays with a good level of intensity and has very good work ethic. She is also a very well rounded performer. Her brother, Sai Tummala, is a bright looking prospect for Brophy Prep HS.

Congratulations to Hailee Rhymes and her family on this tremendous honor.
